Junior Year Abroad Paris Program

Study abroad at École Centrale for one semester or one year. Courses at École Centrale are taught in French and familiarity with the language is a requirement.

Host Institution:

École Centrale: the premier French technological university is located just outside of Paris.

Admissions:

Junior engineering students who have demonstrated academic excellence in math and physics with a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Basic knowledge of French (French 219 or the equivalent of two years of college level study) is recommended. **

Coursework:

Students take engineering courses that complement the Cornell curriculum.

Language:

Courses at École Centrale are taught in French

Housing:

Students live in residence halls on campus.

By November of the sophomore year, interested students should contact David Gries, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs.

*The opportunity to study at École Centrale for one semester is also available.

**An intensive language immersion can be taken the summer before study commences.
