LeaderShape
The Cornell LeaderShape® Institute is a dynamic, interactive, six-day residential program that exposes students to aspects and issues of leadership development. The curriculum is provided by LeaderShape®, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that has been helping young adults learn to "lead with integrity" since 1988. The LeaderShape® Institute, now in its nineteenth year, has made a difference in the lives of more than 18,000 young men and women throughout the country. Cornell LeaderShape® contributes by serving approximately 40 students each year.
Cornell LeaderShape® promotes vision and teamwork among undergraduate students (first-years, sophomores, juniors) from the College of Engineering and the College of Human Ecology. It begins with participants engaging in self-reflection and learning about the power of visions and goals. Students then create powerful visions for themselves and for their organizations. Overall, participants will explore personal characteristics, expand their understanding about leadership, meet and work with peers, and talk to current leaders of the college, university, and surrounding community.
