2010 Spring Engineering Conference
Dear Friends,
The Cornell Engineering Alumni Association and the Cornell Entrepreneur Network invite you to participate in a special mini-conference “Sustainable Energy: Investing in Our Future” on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Museum of Science in Boston.
This event will feature two of Cornell’s outstanding faculty: Jefferson Tester ’66, MS ’67, the Croll Professor of Sustainable Energy Systems; and Paulette Clancy, professor, School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
Following the faculty presentations, Ellen Friedman ’84, partner at Nixon Peabody, will lead a panel of industry leaders with diverse backgrounds in energy-related fields: Sarah Emerson ’84, Managing Director of Energy Security Analysis; Dan Goldman ’87, EVP and CFO of Great Point Energy; and Bill Wiberg ’81, General Partner of Advanced Technology Ventures.
Topics will focus on sustainable energy options; Cornell’s role; areas that are attracting jobs and investment; starting a company in today’s clean-tech market; and the current realities and challenges in the energy field. There will also be plenty of time for social interaction and networking among faculty, panelists and invited guests. The complete agenda is available online.
A $30 fee includes a reception, networking, presentations and dessert. A cash bar will be available. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register online as soon as possible.
