About Joe:
Joe received his BS in Electrical & Computer Engineeing in 2005 and his M.Eng in Engineering Management in 2006. Upon graduating from Cornell, Joe started his career at NBCUniversal in the Operations Management Leadership Program and held rotational assignments in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Broadcast Hub Operations, Graphics, and West Coast Technical Operations. He went on to become a Manager of Business Development in NBCUniversal’s Strategic Operations & Initiatives group where he was responsible for leading the due diligence and implementation of the Comcast and NBCU Asset Integration efforts for Broadcast Operations. Presently, Joe serves as the Manager of Digital Distribution Products. In this role, he leads product management and software development teams responsible for NBCUniversal’s media transcode, transport, syndication, and streaming products, which are used throughout the company’s media supply chain. His team delivers to all digital outlets such as Hulu, iTunes, NBCU web sites, and for organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Universal Pictures Group, NBC News, NBC Sports, USA Network, SyFy, Bravo, Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and local TV stations. While at Cornell, Joe was a Cornell Tradition Scholar, an executive board member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and a science tutor at the Ithaca Sciencenter.
