Resources and Support

Diversity Programs in Engineering is a resource for students, educators, employers, and alumni. We strive to cultivate a culture of inclusiveness and excellence that has established the College of Engineering as a nationally recognized leader in making the college more accessible to students for populations traditionally underrepresented in engineering and to supporting their success through mentoring, advising, community and professional development initiatives, and other mechanisms of support. Our goal is to help build and maintain an inclusive and positive learning environment within the college that motivates all members of our community to do their best at Cornell and beyond.

There is a wealth of resources available throughout the college and university to support the success of students within engineering. From assistance with introductory undergraduate courses to navigating graduate school, staff and faculty are here to help. Information on several key resources  for students can be found on this website, but valuable information on other college resources can also be found in the Student Resources, Academics, and Research sections of the College of Engineering website. Additionally, a wealth of university based resources can be found through the Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives website: http://www.oadi.cornell.edu/.

The Diversity Programs in Engineering office is located in 146 Olin Hall. Our office is a place to seek advice on course, career, and graduate school planning; explore solutions for personal or academic challenges; celebrate achievements and successes; and engage with fellow engineering students. We also offer a computer and study lounge in Olin B55. We welcome the opportunity to meet or speak with you and invite you to drop by our office or contact us via email or phone.
