Funding Opportunities for Corporations and Industry Student Teams The engineering college's reputation for excellence has been enhanced by generations of student project teams that win national and global championships for the performance and ingenuity of their entries. If you have general questions about team projects, please contact: David Gries, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs Engineering Learning Initiatives The Diversity Programs in Engineering (DPE) office is responsible for fostering a vision of diversity appreciation reflective of the College of Engineering's strategic plan, which enables students from all backgrounds and cultures to thrive and succeed at Cornell. DPE provides a variety of services for students including advising, tutoring, corporate-networking opportunities, social meetings, and a state-of-the-art computer lab. We are home to four of the most active student organizations on the Engineering Quad and gather the college community together annually to honor our students for their efforts and triumphs. In addition to supporting many student groups and organizations, four summer programs designed to acquaint students with the Cornell Engineering community are offered. The following programs immerse students in experiences that introduce them to various aspects of the college: Research and Graduate Studies The Office of Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Engineering is responsible for the academic oversight and support of engineering graduate programs, student services to graduate students and graduate fields, and college-level research and resource development. Student Organizations The College of Engineering offers approximately 30 student groups and organizations, including the organizations listed below. These groups offer clear evidence that our students are engaged and vocal and routinely contribute to the daily life of the College of Engineering. Student Organizations provide venues for our engineers to develop leadership and teamwork skills, have a voice on campus, participate in regional and national affairs, and have fun while getting to know one another.
