Career Peer Advisors

Career Peer Advisors and Student Administrative Assistants serve a critical role in the Engineering Career Center.  Our student employees greet and direct students, employers, and visitors to appropriate resources; offer an invaluable student perspective needed to offer effective programming and services; provide resume & cover letter critiques, and mock interviews; and so much more!

Amy Wey
Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering  '18

Amy is a senior in the College of Engineering from Chicago, IL. She is majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business. On campus, she is involved with Engineering Ambassadors, Cornell Consulting Group, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In the office, Amy supports on-campus recruiting operations and helps manage the front desk.

Julia Albrecht
Industrial Labor Relations, '18

Julia is a senior in the Industrial Labor Relations School and is minoring in French and Business. During her junior year, Julia had the opportunity to complete a co-op in New York City and study abroad in southern France. In her free time, Julia enjoys running, cooking, and photography. In the office, Julia helps manage the front desk, and meets one-on-one with peers to provide resume and cover letter critiques, and mock interviews.

Jack O'Sullivan-Griffith
School of Hotel Administration '19

Jack is a junior in the College of Business. He spent the summer working at J.P. Morgan as a Markets Summer Analyst. On campus, Jack is the President of the on-campus investment club, Apex Capital. He is also an active brother for his business fraternity, Phi Gamma Nu. In the office, Jack works at the front desk assisting students and visitors, and conducts resume/cover letter critiques as well as mock interviews with peers.

Nicole Torosian
Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering '19

Nicole is a junior in the College of Engineering from New Hampshire. She is majoring in Chemical Engineering and hopes to pursue a career in the biopharmaceutical industry. Over the summer, Nicole was a process validation intern at a biologic protein manufacturer. At Cornell, Nicole conducts research with the Alabi lab and volunteers with Step Up. In the office, Nicole assists students at the front desk and conducts resume and cover letter critiques as well as mock interviews.

Emma Rose Wirshing
Computer Science, College of Engineering  '19

Emma Rose is a junior in the College of Engineering. Originally from San Francisco, she is majoring in Computer Science with minors in Business and Law. On campus, she’s an active member of the Cornell Speech and Debate Society, an AEW facilitator, and a course assistant for Multivariable Calculus. She’s spent the past two summers working for different startups in San Francisco, and hopes to eventually pursue a career in software engineering. In the office, Emma Rose advises her peers during one-on-one appointments for resume and cover letter critiques, conducts mock interviews, and helps at the front desk.

Kimberly Guo
Computer Science, College of Engineering '19

Kimberly is a junior studying computer science and a huge advocate for education. She loves learning and sharing her knowledge with her peers. On campus, you can find Kimberly in Gates managing the website for Anabel's Grocery, in Willard Straight dancing with E.motion, or in Phillips teaching high school girls fundamentals of computer science. She is excited about helping her peers succeed and will be working at the front desk to empower fellow engineers.

Grace Okunubi
College of Engineering '20

Grace is a sophomore in the College of Engineering. Originally from New York City, she plans on majoring in Information Science concentrating in behavioral sciences and minoring in Communications. On campus, Grace is the Telecommunications Chair of the National Society of Black Engineers and a member of the Triumphant Praise Dance Troupe. In the office, you will find Grace at the front desk greeting visitors, assisting employers, answering questions, and directing students to resources.

Joseph Arewa
College of Engineering '20

Joseph is a sophomore in the College of Engineering from New Jersey. He is currently working towards affiliating as a Mechanical Engineer and wants to further his education by participating in the Master of Engineering program before going out into the workforce. At Cornell, he is an active member of both NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and S.W.A.G (Scholars Working Ambitiously to Graduate). In the office, you will find Joseph at the front desk greeting visitors, assisting employers, answering questions, and directing students to resources.
