Please explain why you want to be a Peer Advisor. What do you hope to accomplish in this role? If you are a returning Peer Advisor, what did you learn last year while in the role and what will you do differently this year?

What needs do first year students have? Please provide an example of a program or event that you would host outside of class to help the students in your class with one of these needs.

If a first year student told you that he/she was performing poorly in a core engineering course, how would you respond? What suggestions or courses of action would you recommend?

List the activities that you have participated in or currently participate in at Cornell. Please indicate any leadership positions you have held.

It is important that you are back on campus by Friday, August 21, 2009 for training and available on Monday, August 24, 2009 for your first 1050 class meeting. If you will not be able to return by then, please explain why and when you plan to return. *Please note that these meetings occur before classes officially begin.
