Employers often hold late-afternoon or evening Employer Information Sessions (EIS) to inform students about career opportunities. With few exceptions, EISs are open to any interested student (regardless of major or year in school). Most are sponsored by engineering student organizations, such as SWE, IEEE, ASME, AIChE, IIE, NSBE, SHPE, ASCE, and others. Food and refreshments are often served.
