In this phase, the tangible artifact from the second phase is tested and verified against team goals and objectives. This phase is also when tough decisions have to be made regarding the final deliverable. It is also a key phase for organizational renewal, because the team realizes it will soon have to compensate for graduating team members. Unfortunately, many teams discover too late that they’ve budgeted too little time for this phase. This can range approximately from 5% to 30%, and if not enough time is budgeted, this time can be particularly stressful. |
