The CS Programming Team participates in the annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. Student teams are required to solve a range of computer programming problems in a limited time frame and are evaluated on successfully processing input and producing timely and correctly formatted output.
The team participates in a regional competition to earn a spot in the international contest. In 2006 Cornell's three teams placed second, third and fifth in the regionals, and the top Cornell team advanced to the international competition.
Information and results from the regional competition can be found . Team Coach Lars Backstrom has pictures from regional competition posted .
