Students who receive an undergraduate research award are expected to work on their research projects approximately 10 hours each week during an academic semester or approximately 30 hours a week during the summer term. Exact hours, schedules, and stipend amounts are to be negotiated and agreed upon together by the student and the faculty mentor.
Note: Students may not receive both academic credit and stipend funds for the same research project in a given term.
Students are required to submit a written report of their research to Engineering Learning Initiatives at the end of the award period. Students are also required to create a poster presentation of their work and to participate in a college or university poster session.
