Advanced Communication for Engineers (ACE)

Summer Program for International Graduate Students- Now Online for 2020

Cornell Engineering's ACE Program 2020 Has Moved Online

Due to COVID-19, ACE is now being offered exclusively online. The new formatting empowers you to prepare for the job search and your Cornell studies even before you have been issued a visa. You will connect one-on-one with ACE faculty and staff, study in synchronous classes, and work on teams with your M.Eng. classmates. Guest speakers will include representatives from the american Engineering industry, M.Eng. alumni, the M.Eng. Career Support Manager, and staff who can answer questions about visas.

To enroll in ACE, you must have received an offer of admission from a Cornell M.Eng. program.  The ACE Online fee is being supplemented by Cornell Engineering, reducing it from last year's fee of $3,950 to $1,400. However, only the first 24 applicants will be accepted. The application deadline has now been extended to July 1, 2020. Apply as soon as you can to ensure your spot.

Be Aware. Be Confident. Be Ready.

The ACE Program builds international students' awareness of aspects of the North American engineering industry and key tasks you'll face as you prepare for your career and search for jobs.

As an ACE participant, you'll become more confident with communication strategies for navigating academic and professional life and networking with people in your field.

By spending four weeks in the ACE Program, you'll feel ready to begin your academic program and take the next steps on your career path.

I think one large benefit of the program is you get an opportunity to network with people. I definitely think it’s a good program, and I would really recommend the following M.Eng. students to take this program.

I would definitely recommend this program to the students who haven’t been abroad and who are not familiar with American academic culture. This was a great chance to prepare a little bit ahead and make some great friends.
