Engineering Ambassadors

Do you love being a Cornell Engineering student? Are you interested in helping recruit future Cornellians?

If you love Cornell Engineering and want to share your passion with prospective students and their families then you should apply to become an Engineering Ambassador!

The Engineering Ambassadors (EAs) is an all-volunteer, undergraduate student group whose diverse membership represents the College of Engineering. The EAs provide prospective students and their families a Cornell student's perspective on what it is like to be a Cornell Engineering student and part of the larger Cornell community. EAs lead engineering quad tours, participate in Q&A sessions, and occasionally meet individually with prospective students. The Engineering Ambassadors increase the visibility of the college on and off campus, and provide a clear and compelling picture of the opportunities available within the college and the greater Cornell community.

A highlight of visiting Cornell for prospective engineering students and their families is often the engineering quad tour. Beyond giving information about the College of Engineering, these tours are an opportunity for our students to share their perspective on life as a Cornell Engineering student. There is no script...just an honest telling of your story at Cornell. Our visitors find the tours to be genuine and extremely helpful in helping prospective students determine whether or not Cornell Engineering is the right fit for them.

EAs are required to give three tours a semester plus attend a one-hour workshop each semester.

To apply, please complete and submit an on-line application by Friday, February 14, 2020.

Please contact Amanda Augustyn, EA advisor at eng_ambassadors@cornell.edu if you have any questions.
