Student Organizations

in this section

There are many opportunities for students to get involved in the life of the college. Most departments and schools in the College of Engineering have at least one student organization, and the college-wide student chapters of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Asian Scientists in Engineering, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Striving For Excellence in Engineering (SEE) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) are open to all students. The college also supports student initiatives to create new organizations to explore areas of interest not currently being studied in a formally recognized group.  For more information on specific department/school-affiliated and honorary organizations, go to individual department web sites, the Engineering Handbook, or the Cornell Student Activities Office web site.
