Minors

A minor is a secondary area of interest that often complements a major and allows grouping of related electives in a meaningful way. Students typically need four to six courses to fulfill the requirements for a minor.

We Offer Three Undergraduate Minors

  • Atmospheric Science Minor

Students in Atmospheric Science study the behavior of weather and climate while gaining experience in the analysis, interpretation and forecasting of meteorological events.

  • Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Minor

A minor in earth and atmospheric sciences is available to all undergraduates except those majoring in earth and atmospheric sciences.

  • Climate Change Minor

The climate change minor gives students the opportunity to explore climate change from varied disciplinary perspectives while gaining a firm grounding in the basic physical, ecological, and social science as well as its interactions with history, philosophy and the arts.
