The College of Engineering’s CUP (Cornell University Presentations) Awards, hosted by the Engineering Communications Program have been announced. The CUP Awards competition invites engaging, unique, insightful technical presentations from undergraduates. For 2019-20 there were three categories of awards and multiple winners in each category. Students win NASA challenge with 3D-printer smart sensor

This article was updated 10/28/21 to include the launch of the crowdfunding campaign. A team of Cornell students has won a grant through NASA’s University Student Research Challenge for a proposed sensor that can help 3D printers build better, more reliable products. To complete the challenge, the team is now crowdfunding a cost-share required by NASA. The challenge seeks new aeronautics concepts that are relevant to NASA Aeronautics Mission Research Directorate.
