Alex W. Kirkpatrick

Dr. Kirkpatrick is a science communication scholar and senior lecturer for the Engineering Communication Program and the School of Continuing Education. Their research focuses on the public understanding of science, health and risk, media effects, and the social impacts of emerging technologies. They aim to empower students to develop their professional voice and strategically communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences. Outside academia, Alex is a passionate musician, motorcyclist and animal lover.
