    • Joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University as a tenured Full Professor.
    • In January 2025 Liu received a $5 million TA&M Chancellor’s Initiative Grant to upgrade their Environmental Fluid Dynamics Laboratory and enhance the coastal research program.
