Photography
Family members and guests are encouraged to take pictures and/or video during the ceremonies, but we would ask that you please remain in your seats and be mindful of others so that everyone can enjoy the experience.

Student Preparations
All students participating in the Commencement Ceremony are required to wear their cap and gown.

Student Registration
Registration has closed for 2025 commencement. Please contact your program coordinator (B.S., M.Eng., Ph.D.) with any questions.

Cap and Gown
Students who will be participating in the recognition ceremonies are required to wear a cap and gown. Students must pre-order their cap and gown online no later than April 16.

Diploma Distribution
Diplomas will be distributed by the University after Commencement via postal mail. For additional details, please contact the University Registrar’s Office or visit the Diploma Information page.

The commencement ceremony will be held in the Weill Hall courtyard, 237 Tower Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850. Please refer to Cornell University: Office of Commencement Events regarding your best options for parking on campus.

Cornell University Commencement
In addition to the Biomedical Engineering Commencement, Cornell hosts a university-wide Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 24 at 2:30 p.m. in Schoelkopf Stadium for all Cornell Engineering students.
