Featuring Mala Murthy and H. Sebastian Seung
Mala Murthy: Circuit Mechanisms For Dynamic Social Interactions
Mala Murthy is the Karol and Marnie Marcin ’96 Professor of Neuroscience and Director of the Princeton Neuroscience Institute at Princeton University. Murthy is internationally recognized for her pioneering work on the neural mechanisms of social communication using the fruit fly Drosophila as a model.
H. Sebastian Seung: Insights Into Vision From Interpreting a Neuronal Wiring Diagram
H. Sebastian Seung is the Evnin Professor in Neuroscience and Professor of Computer Science and Neuroscience at Princeton University. Seung is internationally recognized for his pioneering work at the interface of neuroscience and artificial intelligence. His research aims to understand the brain’s wiring diagram, known as the connectome, and how it gives rise to perception, cognition, and behavior.
