Graduate Field Faculty

At Cornell, graduate students are admitted to fields of study, which organize faculty from different departments, colleges, campuses and even disciplines around a shared intellectual interest. This structure reflects Cornell’s interdisciplinary and collaborative approach and offers graduate students flexibility in their research pursuits.

In addition to the faculty in our department, the following are approved for the graduate field of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Ph.D. students may consider them for their special committees if the specific faculty member is approved for the student’s field of study.
