Cassie Gologorsky, a rising senior in BME from the Bonassar Lab, was awarded 1st place in the undergraduate student paper competition at the Summer Bioengineering, Biomechanics, and Biotransport (SB3C) Meeting.
Her paper was entitled "Depth-Dependent Shear Modulus of TMJ Articular Cartilage Varies with Anatomic Location." She generated a recorded presentation and took questions in a separate Zoom session, both of which were outstanding, said Prof. Bonassar. In her presentation, Cassie described her findings on local tissue mechanics and local tissue structure in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), as well as the relationship between the two.
Congratulations Cassie!
