Support with Federal Government: Lewis Burke
Advising and support for Department of Defense research funding proposals from Lewis Burke. Office hours are available the second Monday of every month from 2-3pm. To register for one of the monthly office hours please contact Wendy Bakal with the nature of your inquiry and she will confirm. For urgent matters, consultations may be available outside of these office hours.
Lewis-Burke Associates LLC (Lewis-Burke), a Washington, D.C. based consulting firm that specializes in advising research universities on federal programs and policies. Its staff include 28 policy experts with deep understanding of federal agencies and scientific research, education, and training programs and personnel. Cornell and Lewis-Burke are partnering to enhance research development and to implement strategies to pursue, shape, and create sources of funding to increase and diversify research portfolios. Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Program's mission is to advance Cornell University’s capacity for research and scholarship in line with college, university, and federal priorities.The goal of Research Development is to cultivate and implement programming to support and grow externally funded research of Cornell faculty at all levels. There is a particular focus on supporting faculty’s proposal development activities that increase the competitiveness of proposals for large-scale multi-disciplinary grants, center grants, and training grants, help new faculty successfully launch their research careers, and help diversify funding streams.

Support with Proposal Development
Researchers can send proposal notifications to the Research Administration Service Center via the online Proposal Notification (preferred) or via email.: email@example.com. Within one business day, a Pre-Award Specialist will be assigned to assist with the proposal details.
